David Eden, who brags his broadcast news experience consists only of a 1970s gig as a television critic and his status as a self-proclaimed TV junkie, says he's exactly what local newscasts need: someone to rock the boat.

An antithesis to mainstream journalism, Mr. Eden will leave his job as editor-in-chief of the Cleveland Free Times this Friday, June 4, to become managing editor at WOIO/WUAB-TV and its channels 19 and 43 newscasts.
