Capitalizing on its knowledge of fire extinguishers that use the chemical Halon, 21st Century Manufacturing Inc. in Bainbridge Township is speeding ahead to produce in-car fire suppression systems that now are required in professional stock car racing.

Chuck Giallanza, owner of 21st Century Manufacturing, has launched a new unit called Track Fire International, also in Bainbridge, that makes fire suppression systems for the racing industry.
