The Patrons of Husbandry, more commonly know as the Grange, was a national farmers' organization founded in 1867 by Oliver Hudson Kelley, a clerk in the U.S. Agricultural Bureau. The order had local, state and national units.
The first Kentucky Grange was established at Allensville in Todd County by W.S. Reeves on Aug. 10, 1871.
