If Friday evening's chamber music concert in Old Dominion University's Chandler Recital Hall was an out-of-the-ordinary concert experience, it was also a good reminder of what chamber music is all about.

The concert, part of the Virginia Arts Festival, was recorded by National Public Radio for broadcast on its popular "Performance Today" show. Radio host Fred Child was on hand to introduce the performers.
