Fairbanks Gets an Upgrade as It Passes a Milestone.

On the long, painful road to recovery, Fairbanks Capital Corp. has just passed a big milestone.

The company has received its first upgrade from one of the rating agencies since the company was plagued by publicity about controversial loan servicing practices last year. In a statement about the development, Fairbanks chief executive officer James Ozanne said the upgrade "affirms the significant improvements" Fairbanks has made to its servicing platform to address complaints about aggressive collection practices, questionable fees and that management of lender-placed ...
