Services were recently held in Atlanta for Ariel Perry Strong, former managing editor of Johnson Publishing Company's BLACK STARS and TAN magazines.

She died in Atlanta after an extended battle with Alzheimer's. She was 84.

Born in Social Circle, GA, Mrs. Strong's distinguished career in journalism began in the 1940s when she worked as a linotype and proofreader at the Atlanta Daily World newspaper.
