The EU Council of Ministers slightly amended the European Commission's proposal of January 28 (see issue 2839, Section V) and the proposal of March 22 concerning Cyprus (see issue 2854, Section V). It approved the following derogations:
Cyprus
- transitional period up to 1/1/2010 to adjust its national level of taxation on gas oil used as propellant and kerosene to the new minimum level of Euro 302 by 1/1/2008 and Euro 330/1,000 l, but with a new minimum level of Euro 245 per 1,000 litres.
