May 4--If money buys access in politics, Kansas City is barely knocking on the door in the 2004 presidential race.
St. Louis, on the other hand, is donating its way to a seat at the head table.
The Kansas City area had given just over $700,000 through March in individual contributions to the campaign efforts of President Bush and Democrat John Kerry. The St. Louis area has contributed almost four times as much -- about $2.7 million -- even though it has only half again as many adults ...
