David Zavala, the owner of a new gymnastics center in Cary, says he takes a slightly different approach in operating the facility.
At Cary Gymnastics Center, he focuses more on fun and learning rather than competitive training. He said his philosophy doesn't involve running a "hard core" facility.
He directs gymnastics teams in addition to classes for nearly all age groups. The facility is at 600 Industrial Drive, Unit I.
Prior to launching his own facility, Zavala ran the gymnastics program at the Buehler YMCA in Palatine.
