Sheep scrapie susceptibility test offered.

Scrapie is an infectious and fatal disease in sheep. It is one of several diseases classified as Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopahties (TSEs) and is the most common. The Veterinary Genetics Laboratory at the University of California Davis has been approved by USDA/ APHIS to perform sheep genotyping for the prion protein gene at codons 136, 154 and 171.
