Ex-Carers Face List Of Abuse Charges.(News)

A FORMER female Dr Barnardo's child carer, dubbed 'Evil Eye', frightened children with ghost stories and talk of the devil before sexually abusing them, a Belfast court heard yesterday.

The claim was made as 68-year-old Sarah Jayne Margaret Hewitt and a second former carer, Robert Gerorge Anderson, 46, went on trial accused of sexually abusing children at the Macedon Dr Barnardo Children's Home in Newtownabbey, near Belfast, over 25 years ago.
