The Community framework for co-operation in the field of accidental or deliberate marine pollution, established by Decision 2850/2000/EC for a period from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2006, aims to support efforts deployed by Member States at national, regional and local levels to protect the marine environment, coasts and human health. It is implemented through a three-year rolling action plan which is reviewed each year by a management committee.
