AN Asian schoolteacher living in north Belfast, speaking in the wake of the resignation of football pundit Ron Atkinson for making racist comments, has called for an end to discrimination which he says "prevails in schools and boardrooms" across Ulster.

Paul Kalla, who has himself been the victim of racial abuse in the Province, said Atkinson's outburst was proof of how prejudice against ethnic minorities has become commonplace.
