Doug's seat in English class had been vacant for a week--long enough for other students in his class to become curious about his absence. Finally, Nathan asked the teacher if she knew where Doug was. Ms. Thompson's response surprised the class. "Yes. I got a note from his mother today asking for assignments for him to work on at home. Doug has pneumonia."
"Pneumonia?" asked Nathan, surprised. "I thought only old people got pneumonia. Will he be OK?"
