Children once helped by the Fox Valley's now-defunct Big Brothers Big Sisters program likely will be reconnected with their mentors thanks to a neighbor to the north.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of McHenry County is finalizing plans to provide services to the more than 400 kids who had been served by the Elgin-based Big Brothers Big Sisters, according to Kathy Pelz, chairwoman of the McHenry County chapter.
