INDIA: MSEB MAKES RECORD RECOVERIES FROM FARMERS - REPORT.(Maharashtra State Electricity Board)

According to "Business Line", the Maharashtra State Electricity Board (MSEB) has recovered arrears of Rs 520 crore from farmers last month, one of the highest recoveries in recent years. This has increased the electricity board's recoveries for March to Rs 1,208 crore. Although this is less than half the anticipated Rs 1,300 crore to be recovered from farmers, MSEB's new Chairman, Mr. Jayant Kawale, called the response "fairly good".
