Interviewing 72-year-old comedian Jackie Mason on the telephone is like taking a roller coaster ride with one hand clutching a pen, and the other hand clutching the phone's receiver.

There is a brief hello, then zoooomm ... we're off at breakneck speed, as the Tony Award-winning comic launches into his thoughts on comedy, life and the world at large before I can get even one question uttered.

Mason moves from one subject to the next, seemingly not stopping to ... well ... breathe.
