THE Northern Ireland Branch of the Suffolk Sheep Society held a meeting in Greenmount Agricultural College on Tuesday evening.

Brian Kennedy, Ai Services, gave a very informative talk on the 'ram effect', explaining the benefits of using a teaser ram, and the proper way to use one to gain optimum results.

He also explained the main reasons why some ewes are barren, how to treat them and get them back into cycle again.
