Mar. 26--National Park Service officials suggest the Statue of Liberty soon may reopen for the first time since Sept. 11, 2001.
Viewed from a passing boat, she's all formality and noble sentiment -- "Liberty Enlightening the World," beacon to "huddled masses," stern protector of freedom and democracy.
