Zeebrugge futures?

Belgium's Zeebrugge hub could be in line for something akin to London's International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) gas futures contracts.

Belgian gas grid Fluxys' subsidiary Huberator, which runs the Zeebrugge hub, this month signed a letter of intent with Dutch clearer Endex and Amsterdam Power Exchange operator APX for a feasibility study into provision of clearing services and an online market at Zeebrugge.

Such moves have been quietly mooted before. But now the trio believes that such services could develop the Zeebrugge hub into a genuine exchange on which ...
