A scheme giving college students an insight into university life has had success in the North East.
Northumbria University has expanded its shadowing scheme to give young adults the chance to work with university students on courses they are interested in.
The university already runs a successful summer school, where participants can spend a week living in halls of residence and taking part in lectures.
