A modern version of the German zeppelin could be flying over Wales every week -if plane manufacturer Airbus adopts a daring solution to its transport problems.

Wings now being built at Broughton, Flintshire for the giant A380 airliner are too big to be flown in a conventional aeroplane to the assembly line in Toulouse, France.

Plans to transport them by sea have hit a snag because the Environment Agency has refused permission to dredge the sensitive Dee Estuary to keep Mostyn dock open for Airbus's purpose-built ship.
