Gov. Jim Doyle's animus toward Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager is no secret in the Capitol. The governor and his aides were furious with Lautenschlager when, in January, she dismissed a Doyle-backed plan to ease environmental protection standards as "a deal between special interest groups and members of the Legislature who have cut the public out of the process."
Lautenschlager was, of course, right about the scheme that business lobb...
