The Norwegian central bank Norges Bank announced on Thursday (11 March) that it had decided to reduce the key interest rate on banks' deposits by 0.25 percentage points to 1.75%, effective on 12 March.

The interest rate on banks' overnight loans is being reduced correspondingly.
