Two medical articles published in August "put the final nails in the coffin" regarding the heart benefits of hormone replacement, according to cardiologist and NHW editor Douglas Zipes. Since estrogen increases bone mass, however, women may increase their risk for osteoporosis when they quit taking combination hormone therapy.
