Community ties nourish growth of aerobics sales
NEW YORK - Aerobics shoes are giving some retailers a reason to establish links with their communities in the name of good will and good sales, reported vendors who have helped establish some of these bonds.
Reebok International Ltd., Stoughton, Mass., took a page out of its own aerobics history book and introduced its Step Free program modeled on Dance Free, an idea it popularized during the '80s aerobics craze.
