Nineteen journalists known for their work during the civil rights movement - including the only reporter to be with Martin Luther King Jr. when he was assassinated - will come to Syracuse University in April to talk about their experiences.
"Many of these folks were attacked, threatened and hospitalized. They really were in very dangerous situations to be able to tell this extremely important story," said Charlotte Grimes, an SU professor who is coordinating the event.
