More than 400 handmade ceramic bowls are stored in a trailer in artist Debra Chako's driveway, awaiting 400 more that area potters have pledged to make for the seventh annual "Empty Bowls" dinner March 12 at Virginia Wesleyan College.
"The trailer is locked, of course. I have nightmares about having an accident on the way to the dinner," Chako said.
