THE price of a pint of beer is to rise by around 10p from tomorrow...before it goes up again in next month's Budget.

Brewers are blaming last year's scorching summer for the unexpected rise. The hot weather boosted their profits by increasing demand for beer,but it also led to a poor harvest of hops...which meant brewers had to rely on more expensive imports.
