High school students in Denver Public Schools may soon trade in their seats on yellow school buses for city bus passes - and later school start times.

Denver school board members on Thursday will hear a proposal to get rid of school busing for most high school students and let city RTD buses provide the rides instead.

The board's decision, expected next month, could change the schedules of 17,000 DPS high school students and affect teachers' working hours, school athletics and parents' child care plans.
