Exodus begins at Security Pacific, B of A

The bloodletting has begun at merging banking giants BankAmerica Corp. and Security Pacific Corp., with seven of the banks' top executives confirmed by industry sources to be leaving the institutions.

While the moves have not yet been announced by the banks, sources said some employees had been asked to leave the companies because of redundancy while others were pessimistic about their future in the soon-to-be-merged bank.
