The Royal Dutch/Shell Groupled consortium in charge of exploring, producing and developing non-associated gas resources in the kingdom's Rub al-Khali (Empty Quarter) is due to hold its first board meeting on 11 January. The venture's project company, which is expected to operate under the name of Rub al-Khali Development Company, will be headquartered in Al-Khobar in the Eastern Province and headed by Shell's Patrick Allman-Ward.
