Despite skyrocketing prices, antique drawings are generally still more affordable than paintings. Collectors and curators rave about the SALON DU DESSIN, the thirteen-year-old Paris drawing fair that will be held next month (March 17 through March 22) in a new spot, Le Bourse, the French stock exchange. Thirty of the most prestigious galleries specializing in drawings in France, England, Germany, Switzerland and the U.S. will show works by artists from Tiepolo and Gericault to Rodin and Modigliani.
