PARIS -- Philippe Vindry has been appointed director general of Christian Dior SA and will become president of Christian Dior Couture SA, a new affiliate now being created.

The move marks a significant change in the fashion house's configuration. Christian Dior Couture will oversee couture, ready-to-wear and licensing.
