Palatine steps up, beats Fremd.(Sports)

The cross-town rivalry between Fremd and Palatine is almost legendary.
Many of the swimmers train together in the off-season, and when the schools meet it usually brings out the best in both.
In Friday's Mid-Suburban West meet, Palatine won bragging rights with a 102-84 victory.
"Basically, they set a goal and this was the first milestone," said Palatine coach Katie Kupka of the win. "They wanted to win this meet. Part of that was that every single guy did really well. Everyone contributed."
