SADDAM HUSSEIN'S capture on December 13 may have taken him off America's Most Wanted list, but the former Iraqi leader is still very much in the hot seat.

Just about everyone agrees that Saddam was a brutal dictator. He ruled Iraq with an iron fist for 24 years and was behind countless acts of violence. He is blamed for the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), during which about 1 million people died. He is accused of the genocide of the Kurds, an ethnic minority group.
