Jan. 19--Some Fox Island residents are at war with the U.S. Navy over the Navy's plans to expand its research facilities on Carr Inlet.
Operations at the 50-year-old Fox Island Laboratory already have eroded island beaches, residents say, and they believe the Navy's plans will inflict even more environmental damage.
