In 1930 an earnest group of Jewish thinkers, under the shadow of Adolf

Hitler's rising ascent to power, gathered weekly in Berlin to renew Jewish tradition. Its leader was Professor David Koigen (1879-1933), a social philosopher trained in Europe's leading universities, who had studied with Wilhlem Dilthey among other influential scholars.
