Portugese scientists are close to developing a drug that could improve the lives of those with Huntington's disease, the BBC reported Saturday.

A team at Portugal's Center for Neuroscience in Coimbra used gene therapy to reprogram mice brains to produce ciliary neurotrophic factor, known to lessen symptoms and slow the progression of the degenerative brain disorder.
