Vikings coach Mike Tice spoke by phone with recently fired Buffalo Bills coach Gregg Williams about the Vikings' vacant defensive coordinator position.

Whether Williams will interview for the position is uncertain. Williams, who interviewed Friday for the New York Jets' defensive coordinator position, is expected to weigh several offers.

Meanwhile, Ted Cottrell, who was fired as Jets defensive coordinator last week, appears to be interested in joining the Vikings. Although no interview has been scheduled, Cottrell could meet with Tice ...
