Agriculture and Water Quality Conflicts

Water quality problems, thought to be caused in part by cropland runoff or nonpoint source pollution, affect drinking water and the Nation's lakes, streams, and estuaries. Actions taken by public officials to protect our water resources may change the diversity, quality, and quantity of farm products, production systems, and ultimately the prices consumers pay.
