Rarely does a totally new and different marine propulsion system hit the market. Most new systems are refinements on existing designs. However, one small company seems to be on the threshold of a true breakthrough--so much so that we wrote about its proto-type jet drive in the August 2001 issue (Propulsion, "Outside the Lines").
