PLANS have revealed to develop Wales' first museum dedicated exclusively to legendary engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

It will be built at Briton Ferry in recognition of Brunel - the 19th-century genius behind the Clifton Suspension Bridge, Cardiff Docks and the Great Western Railway network linking Wales to London - and his historic work in the area.

And it will form part of ambitious proposals to regenerate the old Brunel dock, considered by many to be as unique as the man himself and as one of the jewels of the Industrial Revolution.
