Airfoil may have buyer

Airfoil Forging Textron Inc. in Euclid, which has been losing business and cutting employment during the last several years, is for sale and a Muncie, Ind., company is said to be interested.

Several independent sources within the forging industry said the Textron unit was for sale and that Aeroforge Corp. is interested in acquiring it.

Airfoil, a producer of compressor blades for jet engines, was acquired by Textron, of Providence, R.I., from TRW Inc. in 1986 after TRW soured on the business. Aeroforge's products are similar to ...
