   If thy love is not paradise 
   then what is? 
   And if my love of you-is 
   sin, 
   then to hell let my soul be condemned, 
   for heaven I have known. 
   Yet the chatters of the righteous folks 
   have crucified my love of thee to sin 
   yet I only do obey, 
   the greatest commandment-that 
   to love, 
   and now I have lost-the 
   virtues of moral men 
   for my foolish reasoning 
   never allowed me to comprehend 
   how love canever 
   be sin.
