NEW YORK -- The Costume Institute made a case for unrestrained feminine beauty for the ages in its blockbuster "Goddess" exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art this spring, but its plans for 2004 are focused on the steamier realm of using decorative dress as a means of beguilement, as used by European society of the 18th century.

The spring show at the Met, "Dangerous Liaisons: The Art of Seduction," also has lined up a cast of suitably hot-and-bothered celebrities, including Renee Zellweger, Jude Law and Hugh Jackman, for its annual benefit on April 26, which will be ...
