Gail Borden Public Library's new building is the place to be, according to statistics from its first month in operation.

The Gail Borden Public Library has broken records by signing up more than 4,000 new members since opening its impressive new facility two months ago in downtown Elgin, library officials reported.

Gail Borden library's circulation is at an all-time high, and it's seeing more visitors per day now than ever in its more than 125-year history, according to library statistics.
