One Southland department store has the second largest Boy Scout clothing section in the nation, while another has a manually operated elevator but no escalator. Officials at both boast better sales performances than their competitors.
These aren't Broadway, May Co. or Bullock's stores, but Arcadia-based Hinshaw's and Santa Monica-based Henshey's.
