The timing of the evocative art of renowned German artist Kathe Kollwitz (1867-1945) appears eerily prescient. Beautifully displayed at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) from March 1 to May 25, the exhibition which includes prints, drawing and sculpture, leaves one shaken, stirred and ultimately drained as one's imagination automatically moves from the artist's subjects to the suffering of the mothers and children of Baghdad.
