PORT WASHINGTON -- A medical clinic will have to pay a family $7.7 million in damages after jurors ruled it was responsible for brain damage suffered by a 3-day-old boy.

The family of Sean Kaul filed a lawsuit against Cedar Mills Medical Group of Cedarburg, which is owned by Columbia-St. Mary's. The jury's 13-1 decision Friday was in a retrial of that lawsuit, which was filed in 1999.
